What’s nearby

The centre is located in up-town Barcelona, ten minute walk from Barcelona FC’s Camp Nou stadium.
Close to the stadium you will find many restaurants, cafes and a shopping centre.

If you do not wish to take the walk, you can catch the subway two stops, from Zona Universitaria to Maria Cristina. Subway links direcly to the city centre, full of tourist’s attractions like Plaça d’Espanya, Las Ramblas, Port Vell, the Casa Batlló and the Barceloneta. By subway you can also easily reach the wonderful Parc Güell and the amazing Sagrada Família.

How to get there

From Barcelona Airport “El Prat”

• By taxi: (Overall duration of trip: approximately 15 minutes.)
• By train/metro: The train station is located just next to the Airport. Take the train as far as Sants Estació, the city’s main train station. Once you arrive, take the subway train, Line 3 (green line) and get off at the Zona Universitaria stop (2 minutes walking distance from Hotel Rey Juan Carlos I Fairmont).

• By Aerobus: The aerobus, express airport bus service, links the airport with the main areas of interest in the city. The terminal for the Aerobus is just in front of airport itself and it stops at every terminal. In order to get to the Congress Center you must get off at the Plaza España stop (first stop within the city). Take the subway Line 3 from here (red line) and get off at the Zona Universitaria station (2 minutes walk from Hotel Rey Juan Carlos I Fairmont).

From the train station: Sants Estació

• Take the subway train, Line 3 (green line) and get off at the Zona Universitaria stop (2 minutes walking distance from Hotel Rey Juan Carlos I Fairmont).

The Organizing Secretariat does not provide a hotel booking service for this event. You can find a selection of hotels close to the Congress venue on your own here.

Insurance

The Congress Organizers will not accept any liability for personal injury, or loss/damage to property or belongings of participants, either during or as a result of the Congress during their stay in Rome. It is, therefore, recommended that participants arrange their own personal health, accident and travel insurance.
