P145. Delay in the psychomotor development of a premature mother born with falciparum malaria.

INTRODUCTION: Plasmodium falciparum is a protozoan parasite and a human pathogen, the most deadly among the six types and is transported by the female Anopheles mosquito, since it is only the female of the species that bites to feed. In the present study, a case of falciparum malaria was reported in a pregnant woman whose child was born premature and with developmental delay and was followed at Ary Pinheiro Base Hospital in Porto Velho-Rondônia. OBJECTIVES: To report a case of falciparum malaria accompanied at a school hospital in Porto Velho-RO and to review the literature on plasmodium transmission. METHODOLOGY: The present work uses the bibliographical research reference, in order to obtain information and report this case on Plasmodium falciparum reinfection during pregnancy. CASE REPORT: TCN, 17 years old, student of the 5th grade (4th grade) of Youth and Adult Education (EJA), resident of line 8 of Transpurus - AM. She was born with 7 months of gestation, on 24/12/00, of normal delivery, at the Base Hospital Dr. Ary Pinheiro (HBAP), her mother (Mrs. Maria Joselda Cardoso) presented Malaria Falciparum during pregnancy, made use of quinine In the dose of 1 tablet of 8/8 h for 10 days, prescribed by the Tropical Medicine Center of Rondônia (CEMETRON). He stayed in the HBAP Nursery for about 60 (sixty) days and was followed up at the Policlínica Osvaldo Cruz (POC) with the pediatrician for 6 months. He had his vaccination in POC. He sat down at the age of two. He spoke at the age of three. He was 4 years old. 11/07/16 Weight: 39 Kg Height: 1,51 cm PA: 80/60 mmHg Clinical examination: no axillary hair, no pubic hair.
